Actually, psychology dictates that most couples have about the same attractiveness. So aside from the occasional gold digger, it will be the exception rather than the rule that an ugly person and a hot person will get together.
While I'm spewing psychology, I guess I'll say that most people with successful relationships have a lot in common, dismissing that whole "opposites attract thing," at least to some extent.
