WHY does it take people so long to realize that, that's part of what makes it funny!
Okay, so I feel I need to tell the story behind it:
My swim coach(I used to swim summers) was setting up the lanes, heats, etc. and his little sister (a member of the team) was reading off the names. The names happened to be in the format of first initial followed by last name.
So she said "P. Chisnell"
and the coach looks up and says "Peaches?"
So she laughed, and told my brother Robin. Then it spread among his friends and I figured what the hell, it's not really derogatory and it's cute, so I'll take it.
So now I'm PChis, and subsequently Robin became RoChis.
That's my story, hurray!

I didn't realize this until a friend pointed it out to me today. I had always mentally pronounced it as P-Chiss. Not Peaches. Oh, that simple soft S, how it confused me.
By the way, OP, I compliment you on your smiley face, successfully utilizing the letter D.
Some people are spacey on the internet although I guess that is what happens when you stare at a screen for too long.
