Can you explain what "Christ working through you" really means?

well, he's just not so sure christ is working through him. At least he's not agnostic, then there'd be problems.

Well I see Ganesh working through you. It's a shame really.

Christ was agnostic.

Your /mom/ was agnostic.

I really admire those of you with a true sense of faith, because that is something that I will truly never be able to understand.

I had a strong true sense of faith once.

I lost it between middle school and high school.

Some days I feel a void where it once was.

Don't worry. You can always fill that void with sex and materialism.

Speaking from a bit of experience in the realm of "filling that void with sex and materialism"... I'd say it doesn't work out too well.

by the way, jesus wasn't agnostic at all, he had full faith in god, it's part of what made him such an amazing person. i feel like i have full faith in god, and i've had unimaginably horrible things happen in my life, it's that faith in god that makes it seem all right. people get cynical and don't believe in god because bad things happen, but me, i know that bad things happen becuase it's a choice between bad things and free will and i know that humanity will progress eventually. so in the meantime i know that god cares and i find comfort in that. my personal philosophy there--and by the way i am not christian or any religion you will have heard of.

It's funny (funny-interesting not funny-haha) how spiritualists find solace in God and comfort in the fact that he cares while never thinking for a moment that their problems are partly his fault and he could clearly fix them all in the blink of an eye but chooses not to. Apparently he'd rather bring comfort in a silent best friend sort of way, rather than with actual results.

Well yeah, if he solved everything we'd have nothing to strive for. Life would suck if god was anything but what he is.

sometimes a best friend is more comforting than a savior.

jesus was mentally ill.

Sir, them's fightin' words.

I don't think there was anything crazy about Jesus. If God truly doesn't exist and Jesus actually talked to him, then I guess that would be a tad crazy.

But maybe god does exist

or maybe he just had strong faith in God and did what he thought would be good,

Or maybe he's just a genius who started needed a way to promote the morals he wanted for society.

If anything, he's a "superman" as Nietszche defined them and a spectacular philosopher that has inspired countless events in our history.

Hell, we changed time signiatures around his name.

So even if he had some sort of mental illness, I'd say it's pretty much worth it.

I just think he was in the right place at the right time. If anyone, no matter how cool or intelligent, started going around saying they spoke to God /these days/ they'd more than likely be locked up.

Actually things would suck a lot less if he had accidentaly forgotten to invent AIDS, hurricanes, and the like. I'm quite positive my happiness and strength aren't dependant on debilitating diseases and arbitrary, unavoidable tragedies.

god didn't invent that stuff, it just happenned. and i think you'll find that man has never destroyed itself yet so however bad things might seem he's obviously still doing his job. would you really choose intervention over free will? this is our character-building phase. now you'll appreciate paradise when you get there.

I don't see how genetic defects that kill children at birth or diseases that strike down famous scientists in their prime are in any way "character building". And no, they do not "just happen" unless you are saying there are forces outside of God's control that I'm not aware of.

Freewill's one thing, making the world cruel, indifferent, and patently anti-life is something else entirely.

It's also funny (funny-hah not funny-interesting) how Christians agree that God intervenes in the world and that a stain of water that looks like the virgin mary is a grand miracle, but then they don't think to complain when his miracles can't save a bishop from a heart attack or a loved one from cancer. Go figure.

Well guys, if we stopped breeding like rabbits perhaps god would stop sending worse and worse diseases and natural disasters in an attempt to tip us off that we're destroying the earth he created.

eh? eh?

Bummer, this whole post goes by and the OP never explains what they actually meant.
