Taking drugs is stupid. I have a terrible fear of any drugs that mess with my mind. Fortunately I don't need them, but even if I were depressed I would rather die than take anti-depressants.

Everything is a "disorder" these days. Gah.

Fragi i don't think he was talking about drugs with the whole graphic.

I was talking to anonymous one... who actually posted his post first?

Specifically when anonymous one said

"and if it's a mental disorder got ya down, take some drugs."

That's what I was replying to, everyone.

I know exactly what you mean. Some of the scars are gone, some are still there. I'm not going to tell you to "just stop cutting." I know you can't. I know I couldn't. For whatever reason you're doing it (a need to be punished, half-attempts at suicide, the desire to feel emotion, ANY emotion)... well, please, please, for your own sake, try to solve THAT.

Life is better without safety pins and Swiss army knives and razors.

Trust me.

It seems everybody's experienced with this new form of drug lately. Cutting.
I did it, and yeah, I still do sometimes. It's bad, and it's wrong, but it helps. I understand.

I'm sorry. I do not understand you at all. The idea of a person doing that to themself is disgusting. If you want to feel alive and you want to hurt, go run, lift weights, challenge yourself in some helpful way.

nice Goo Goo Dolls reference. Wonderful song, I must say.

yea and i forgot to mention...for girls, cutting is almost a "trend", its kinda acceptable for them. but i'm a guy...sooo....it's just one more thing that separates me from you...

Anonymous said...

WHAT, cutting is only acceptable for girls?

since when was this distinction drawn?

it's unacceptable for everyone is what it is.

And seriously, it's better not to "understand" this kind of thing. It's bad to understand it. It isn't even the kind of thing you should be "understanding" about. It's just bad, wrong, and stupid.

Put down the fucking razor and get a life.

I assumed the OP was a girl. Guys are generally more grounded and less melodramatic.

I get dizzy just thinking about doing something like that to yourself. Don't do it. It's that simple. Do you want people to think you're retarded or something? Cause honestly, I can't think of how a sane person could possibly do that to themself.

Anonymous said...

Come on guys, he doesn't need you to condemn him. If he's cutting, he probably already hates himself enough.

Just... share the love.
He needs some.

Dear OP,

I'm sorry, I hope you find a way to feel alive without ending up dead.

*Love*

This is kind of off the original topic but oh well...
Stereotypes are based on the majority or percieved "traits" so there is basically always some degree of truth to them. It is not really too much of a crime to have your very first assumptions based on stereotypes because that is what people have percieved (as long as it isn't too ridiculus like everyone who has blue noses are planning to nuke the world adn so we should kill this blue nosed man) (sorry about that example) but as long as people are open to the ideas that are not stereotypical adn know that there are always exceptions then I think they are not to bad.

Anyways OP I suggest you find another way to (this isn't the right phrase but) relieve your tension. For instance find a nice punching bag (siblings work well just don't really injure them) or a lover and have a passionate affair. It might help you stop cutting because you can feel your emotions through the other mediums. (That was too long)
(Too bad)

When everyone else wants to feel emotion they go see March of the Penguins or read a sad novel. If you like pain then you really can't blame your situation or anyone else. Not to sound rude (and we definitely all want you to come out of this okay) but you can only blame yourself for choosing this way to deal with your issues.

I just thought you should know, since I know first hand. I love a gril that cuts herself, and when she does it I feel like she's cutting my heart as well. It's like I can't make her happy enough to keep her from hurting herself to escape the pain. You don't just hurt yourself when you do that.
