Sometimes I cry to make myself feel more human. Or alive. I can't decide which.

And it seems as though my sleep will suffer from it. Today it's not a violent cathartic crying jag. Instead it's a slow, drawn out lamentation that stops and starts again. No noise aside from the occassional whimper, just puffy eyes in the morning. But maybe there will be peace after the rain.

Are you okay?

Seriously, are you? There's always some insomniac tangsters around...

I'll be fine. Thank you so much for caring. I just need to cry.

When you gotta spill, you gotta spill.
Sorry if this sounds like i'm trivializing (i'm not).
Personally, i REALLY do enjoy a good cry. The alternative is usually a bad idea anyway.

Are you taking anti-depressants?

If not, get some serious advice (several professional opinions) if you are thinking about taking
them, as they can make emotional extremes even worse.(& talk to your doc if you are already on them)
I speak from much experience.

Good luck.

Crying can be okay sometimes.

Crying can be okay a lot of the time.
It's release.
I had a period of time (think half a year) when I cried at least five, sometimes ten times a day.
Granted, it was a symptom of some huge inward battles and pain, but... crying was helping, not hurting.

It's a rush. It's a release. It's a surge of satisfaction and catharsis.

That being said, I don't cry anymore.

It helps a lot, it relieves a bunch of stress, but it makes me feel weak, makes me feel broken, makes me feel like I'm losing control of myself.

Sure, bad reasons, bad logic, bad ideals. But its me. Its who I've become.

I completely understand how you feel though.

Crying is a great stress reliever. Just make sure you aren't depressed all of the time.

I have been crying a lot recently with sad movies etc. Stupid horomones. But afterward I feel better and motivated to actually do something.

To be sung in a ecstatic, seventies "Free to be you and Me" way:

"Raindrops from your eyes
Washing all the mad out of you
Raindrops from your eyes
It's gonna make you feel better!"

"It's all right to feel things
Though the feelings may be strange
Feelings are such real things
And they change and change and change."

"Sad 'n' grumpy, down in the dumpy
Snuggly, hugly, mean 'n' ugly
Sloppy, slappy, hoppy, happy
Change and change and change!"

"It's all right to cry
Crying gets the sad out of you
It's all right to cry
It might make you feel better!"
