Two AIM windows are open on my computer now...
In one, we happily, dreamily discuss our future together.
In the other, I blandly tell her not to die.
I will never go back to that place again, where she is now; I have him to keep me from there.

You need to make sure that something about your own life is enough to keep you from that place. You're valuable as a person, you don't need anyone else to give you worth.

I agree with tintedfragipan. It's good you have someone to keep you from whatever you would be doing, but just keep in mind you as a person should be enough to do that. Try to get to that place, dont' stop trying and be satisfied here with the guy. Keep going, you'll eventually get to that point.
I feel so detached when I'm having two polarly opposite conversations like that, especially cause neither of them know that i'm doing it.
