I GOT AN A IN JAPANESE

yep, enloe has classes for chinese, french, german, greek, italian, latin, russian, and spanish (and maybe one or two others i forgot?). four years of each, and i think all but greek have 5 or more levels, including (usually) multiple AP and Honors offerings.
the teachers aren't stellar, but there's a wide sampling of languages from which to fulfill the state-mandated two-year language study requirement.
I agree, but I just happen to be one of those kids who didn't take Japanese to understand how to read Manga.
My grandparents were missionaries in Japan during WWII and speak fluent Japanese, and my mom and all her silbings except for her youngest son were born in Japan. My elementary school offered it, and my brother took it before me.
All those things pretty much came together to make me want to take it.
