Post anything that you want - a story, a secret, a confession, a fear, a love - anything. Post twice if you'd like. And then share the site with your friends.
You know, it's weird, but I really dislike steamed or cooked broccoli, and when you throw cheese into the mix it just becomes disgusting (to me). But I like to munch on it raw. Go figure.
In biology freshman year, we learned about certain reccessive genes that make the tongue supersensitive to a chemical in broccoli that makes it taste absolutely disgusting when magnified.
^ That seems rather suspect, since what tastes good tends to be what you've been exposed to, what you normally eat, etc; hence, the "anomaly" of people liking a hamburger, and maybe hating ramen noodles (Hey, I like both, but it's just an example).
Aside from the bacteria making it unsanitary and whatnot, hypothetically, someone could think that human shit tastes absolutely fabulous (of course it would depend on what that person ate beforehand... ew).
Either way, I would be interested to read the text from which you got this little tidbit of info.
GP - After reading the broccoli post you were refering to, I went and looked it up online. Despite my love for veggies, eating raw broccoli makes me gag, no matter what. I don't thing I could swallow it to save my life. I found a couple articles about it - http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html? sec=health&res=9B06E7DE113FF93BA25751C0A9619 58260 That was one of the better ones.
I dunno if you copied the link wrong, or if blogger showed it improperly... but try as I might, the link did not lead anywhere besides a blank NY times page.
That was in response to the article. You have to copy the first line of it, then add the second line, then add the third line to the url so it looks like

Yummy nummies.
Are you kidding?!?? Broccoli is my favorite, raw or cooked. Just no cheese on top... my mom did that when I was a kid and I hated it.

I like to eat my vegetables, too! But I did hear about how some people taste them more than others...
I will pretty much eat any vegetable. Preferably raw, but cooked works too.
