I think I'm falling for my best guy friend. We went to prom together last year as friends and I thought there might be chemistry there but I didn't push it. We've been hanging out and I'm falling hard... What should I do? I don't want to ruin a friendship

same situation...minus the prom. i really hope he asks me to prom. i really hope.
for the record..I dated one of my best friends for almost a year. When our relationship ended it has not been even close to what our friendship was before the relationship. theres always a chance. maybe you will have better luck then I did. but if you have feelings for this person, and he has them back. why not? its just another stage together.

I have had quite a few relationships with good friends that didn't work out. My rule is friends first and foremost. If the friendship was strong before the relationship, why should that change afterwards? Awkwardness only exists if you let it.
Take a chance, because if you don't you may miss out on one of the most fulfilling relationships you ever have. What have you got to lose except your current doubts? Ask. If he says no, your question is answered and you can move on. If he says yes...well then.
