Bah. It's almost worse when you start second guessing yourself. Do I really like them? And you know you do, it's just that annoying voice in the back of your head, you know what I mean? But you really do like them.

but my love life's not one you want to follow.
Yeah...I do that all the time. Of course, I never have actually been able to tell someone I like that I like them (and I hardly ever tell anyone else, either, except for maybe one or two close friends). Even though I'm pretty sure someone last year liked me at about the same time I liked them. Ugh. Such silly concerns, and yet they feel so important at the time.
