Hmmm, 3 classes listed for my 1st semester and only one class for 2nd semester.

Bad news.

are everyone's messed up? graffiti's and mine are completely wrong...

They didn't give me a lunch, and didn't give me an english class.

Anonymous said...

They didn't give me my foreign language, but I don't know if they will allow me to fix it since I've already taken two years.

Anonymous said...

they probably won't allow you to fix anything. because guidance SUCKS.

Score! I only have 3 classes first semester, and 1 class second semester!

Am I the only one whose schedule came out right? (Though not really, cause I need to change out two of my classes for Calc AB/BC.)

Mine came out just fine, except for missing 3rd and 8th periods...

sithgirl- I thought you weren't taking AB/BC for an intense hatred of math?

The "are they going to fuck up my schedule again?" drama ensues.

Exactly. As I was telling Box Box before, guidance has no idea what they're doing. Again.

Student Services is going to get its ass kicked this year, if it's not already kicking itself.

poor high schoolers!

My AP Stat grade was such that I feel like I need to boost my overall math performance. My guidance counselor and I conferred about this before school ended. We both agreed - AB/BC is really the only choice.

Dude. This is when I freaking love Medical Academy. :D

Nah, I mean, I've still got problems (she called me the other day about them but I haven't gotten in touch with her yet) but right now, I like what I have. :D

...Okay? My schedule is good, minus the fact that it's missing a few things. Like H/AP C&C, which just is completely not there. All of the other ones are still the right classes, though...

guys, its okay, chill. i talked to some teachers and they said the schedules aren't right. wait until august-y time to see your real schedule. the computer is still "running simulations" at this point.

Anonymous said...

yah this is from an email a guidance counselor sent:

"Ignore the preliminary schedule you see on SPAN right now. The final schedules will be run in a couple of weeks after everything has been reviewed. Some classes get bumped out in the first run due to time conflicts that occur when the master schedule (matrix) is still being finalized."

no worries.

from above, thanks for the awesome news. so that means i have a chance of not having mrs. nelson as it says so on my schedule?!

my schedule also has nothing wrong with it except a few missing room numbers...

Anonymous said...

i think they use a computer to assign classes initially, but then they go through and like, personally fix everything else maybe

Anonymous said...

Probably not. If they did, we wouldn't have any schedule problems.

Anonymous said...

^^ well obviously a counsler doing it would be better than a computer, i mean nothing's really gonna work perfectly so counslers probably fix everything that the computer can't figure out

Anonymous said...

Only the kids with insanely pushy parents or good counselors, eg IB and Medical Academy students, get the schedules and teachers they really want. Everybody else has to follow the rules and let the computer pick 'em.

How do I log onto SPAN?

Anonymous said...

I'm in medical academy. And they still fucked up my schedule. I don't have a foreign language? or a lunch?

Queen Sekaf:

Here's a link to SPAN

The username is your NCWise number, the password is whatever password you set.

If you don't remember your password (or your account is "disabled", etc), try the password recovery link, or call the school to get it reset. Ask for either someone in Guidance, or for George Moore (the computer guy).

Anonymous before me:

Don't sweat it. As others have said, these schedules are anything but final. It's pure coincidence that the current scheduling progress has been made available on SPAN.

The schedules should be done with automatic sortings very soon (if not already), and then its just a matter of getting the counselors to sort out any issues for each of the x-hundred kids assigned to each of them. They should be done within a reasonably short period of time, though as others have mentioned, nothing's officially "final" and debatable until paper copies are mailed right befor school starts.

If they don't change my picture on SPAN I'm gonna kill someone.

Anonymous said...

yeah, those pictures are hella old.

ps. after you log in to span, you can see anyone's picture by going to https://span.wcpss.net/include/
imagedisplay.php?student=###
where ### is their ncwise number. eg:

https://span.wcpss.net/include/
imagedisplay.php?student=123456

(remove the line break)
