Iraq has NEVER attacked America.

Taking a brutal dictator out of power was pointless? Saddam was almost as bad as Hitler, and taking him down was a good thing. Not saying that’s the premise we went in there under or anything, because that would be a ludicrous statement.
I agree with your words though. Iraq has never attacked America (unless you count the insurgents attacking and killing US troops?).
im not saying saddam was a nice guy or that iraq had not been aggressive before. but there were far worse dictators and far more dangerous countries. and to say we did it to protect the iraqi people is kinda contradictory considering how many weve killed in this war ~40,000 in three year. saddam although still oppresive had not been near as brutal in the years before the war than he was in the time of the first gulf war.
You put a lot of faith on the government to do the right thing. But they are just as flawed human beings as any. They had to make a decision. I think that the President really believed he had WMA's. Do I believe that Iraq is in a great situation right now? Hell no. Do I think they will be better off in the long run without Suddam? hopefully.
Sigh, I'm bored with this argument. We've been discussing it for 3 years now.
IT DOESN'T MATTER.
We ARE in Iraq whether we like it or not, what we do as a country in that region now, will decide the future of the world. It is more important to discuss what is the best course of action in Iraq than to rehash the political fiasco of three years ago.
And frankly, there are so many things to complain about the poor handling of the invasion and occupation of Iraq, there's really no needto go back into the muddled issues of why we're in there in the first place.

and anyone who brings it up to bash the president...you're stupid. its been spread all over his face. and republicans get it. so stop trying to be right and have intelligent conversations with people.

but we were always better. so we killed them first.
