It's just that some people (like me) probably won't ask a guy out anyway, even if I like them. But you never know, really...
If my girlfriend had not asked me out, we would have never gotten together. My confidence was low at the time and I would have missed out on a great relationship.
It is 100% okay. Do it.
My girlfriend of over 2.5 years asked me out. Quite worth it.
I asked my boyfriend of over 2.5 years out. It's all good.
