Oh wait...realistically? No of course not! We're still the most freakin' awesome high school in the state, and as long as you underclassmen don't shit things up it'll stay that way.
um... comparatively speaking, enloe past the golden age... A lot of enloe is just living off the reputation earned a decade ago. Take for example, debate, where Enloe used to be sooo awesome, but now, tho there are some really good people, it's nowhere near where i was before. A lof ot our sports are declining and some academic teams too
Enloe debaters don't really know how good the team was ten years ago. The only indication that it was a good team is the number of trophies in Dr. Woollen's room. Debate does not "thrive" off its reputation earned ten years go -- it is just languishing.
Enloe's high brow position in the community is definitely due to the position it earned a decade ago.
The question is: As so many faculty prepare to leave this year, can the school retain its excellence?
i believe that some things are starting to come back up, for example, science olympiad 2 years ago barely qualified for the state competition and finished somewhere in the 30's, lsat year we qualified 3rd in our region, and ended up 10th in the state, this year we wewre 1st in the region and 3rd in the state..
i think what it's gonna hafta take to get enloe back up to where it should be is less teacher initiative, and more student initiative.. the science olympiad team is almost 100% student run. Especially in this time where teachers are all trying to leave enloe, it is the responsibilty of the students to maintain enloe's reputaiton
sports have gotten worse, the arts have gotten worse (granted, we're still amazing... but about 3-5 years ago we were amazing, i mean come on - the scott/adam/noah crowd?!), and nobody seems to be that excited about enloe anymore (mitch danforth, all those crazy loe down people...) so to answer your question... yes, sadly but i just saw seven brides for seven brothers and it was AMAZING! so i guess even not in a golden age enloe's still freaking awesome.
our sports were never really that good and academic clubs are still quite strong i dont know about debate but sci olymp and envirothon are both strong. its easy to look at the past and see the good old days but in ten years we will look back and these will be the good old days.

Yes, but only because I'm leaving it soon.
