every race has its genocides, its murderers, its hitlers, its stalins, and its unibombers. it's not just the white people, it's not just the arabic people, it's not just the indian/pakistani people, it's not just the chinese, it's not just the russians, the japanese, or the blacks.

every race has its blemishes and bright spots. you have to take history in perspective, not just how your post-2001 pro-America politically-correct textbook shows it to be.

As a white person you can't really have any racial pride. All we've got is that little twinge of guilt because we were afforded that small benefit of being in the majority (and all that entails) which we don't deserve for any particular reason. It's like having rich parents; you're not at all proud and most days you wish it were someone else in your position rather than you.

Let us all pray for the day when racial barriers are broken down and we're all a deliciously genetically diverse light brown.

The only reason you can't really have racial pride is because white isn't a race that has been molded to any certain characteristics. I know africans come from ALL OVER AFRICA but most of the African Americans families had at some point been forced into the mold of slaves, and therefore have that post-slavery "black" culture thing going on. A lot of others who never had families in slavery were still sort of forced into that mold by whatever causes. There wasn't ever really white pride, as there was Irish or German or Italian pride, as many of those used to be groups discriminated against and such.

I'd like to think that those have slipped away mostly and that that would lend credence to an idea that if the white racial groups can sort of mold into a non-racial category, then hopefully everything can. Of course what I'd like to think, and that is indeed what I see every day of my life, is probably not true as I'm sure there are still those European lineages at war with each other somewhere in America.

And in counter to SD and agreement with anon 2, I believe that had the Native Americans had guns more powerful than the Europeans and an immunity to the diseases, they most certainly would have killed the Europeans.

As the human race we're just a bunch of douchebags, it's not a "white" thing. We just happened to be on the lucky (well I guess that's up to interpretation) end of the stick.

You know what's strange? That everybody is so absorbed with proving why the races are different. Why does that have to be meaningful? Why don't we look for the things that make us similar, as that is what unifies all of us as human. You know... goodwill towards man? (people... men and women, I know). Sadly, even American scientists are looking into "scientific" differences in the races now... yeah... great.

today its not really easier to be white. minorites at least band together enough that they rarely exclude people . being white is just getting into a whole new section of segregation.
