I don't believe in God. When I lead others in prayer I feel like I'm lying, but when I pray on my own I'm sincerely giving thanks. Faith shouldn't be this screwed up.

what the hell are your praying to when you pray by yourself? whatever is out there? Some higher being...God maybe?
I hate praying with other people. I like it just me and personal. but just cuz i hate praying with other people doesn't mean i dont believe in God. He understands. so whatever.
Maybe you're just not confident and/or comfortable around other people when you express your faith. It doesn't mean you're screwed up. It means that you're going through a process that isn't an automatic one-- you're growing. You're finding your own definition of faith, and if it works for you, then why should anyone else question it?
i dont like to reveal my self and praying puts me in a state of vulnerability. I dont beleive in the god most people do but i still pray on occasion.
i totally feel the same way, except for the not believing in god part. it always feels so real when i'm just by myself, but when i have to voice a prayer (lead a prayer) with others, it just feels so insincere.
