Love isn't real. It is a meme used to catagorize and justify our certain actions and/or choosings of suitable mates. Most probably originally not as overused as today but due to group think and group polarization become the idea it is today. A farse. Same thing goes for hate, btw. Funny how the firing of synapses and neurons in our head are made to appear to us, isn't it?
Of course it's real, you just described what it is in a biological way, albeit in a very crude and nonspecific manner. Would you really like to explain all that every time you wanted to say love?
