We like each other. But we're awkward/shy and won't talk to each other anymore. And I'm scared of losing him. I'm an idiot for not being bolder. Just watch some him ask out some girl eventually. I seriously can't let myself regret this.

Listen, I cannot stress this enough, please attempt to rebuild the bridge. For your own sake. Whether it works or not, at least that horrible feeling of "what if" will be purged.

haha keep using bridge metaphors. And make it really ambiguous.
As for wow you rebuild this bridge well brick by brick thats how.
start by comming up with converstation starter before you even see him. then bring it up "Hey! guess what?! blah blah blah!" and then you might even have to be the one to walk away or something when/if the converstation ends (it eliminates the "uh...so...uh...*blush*..." moments.
