When I win the Morehead by way of self-nomination--not through the school--Enloe won't get any credit.

Not from me, anyway.

Well, I'm happy for your complete confidence in being able to get such a prestigious scholarship.

That said, perhaps some of the four most influencial years of your life will be at enloe. What possible wrong could it have committed against you that you would be so arrogant as to say that it in no way should deserve any credit for your success?

If you just happened to be transferred to enloe for your senior year then, don't worry about what I said, but otherwise...

I'm with Pchis. If you've been at Enloe for more than the last four weeks, you (should) know that our school has given you many opportunities for success you wouldn't have been offered elsewhere. Your arrogance really is misplaced; I hope you know that.

That being said, if you win the scholarship independently, more power to you. If you intend to use it, the Morehead is a great prize to set your sights on.

I think I know who this is. And we've already talked.

But just to further support your decision, I understand where you're coming from. And I don't think your self-righteous indignation is misplaced. Especially in regards to what we talked about.

Don't listen to the boys, they don't know the whole story, or even who you are (in this forum).

perhaps the op is feeling just a tad bit of resentment that 2 of the 4 people our school actually did choose have no lives/leadership abilities/personality. Their extracurriculars (sports?) are a joke.

I hate the no name policy. Can I say S and A? I really hate that S and A were nominated. Go C and H! not to be sexist B)

HATE HATE HATE.

That being said, does the school even care if you give them credit?

Oh I definitely hate that S got nominated. If she gets it I will cry.

Anonymous1, are you saying sports are a joke? Because that's ridiculous. Or are you saying that for their dedication to their sports, it's a joke that they can use them?

Wait, who the hell has been nominated anyways?

haha I can't believe I forgot to fill out that yellow sheet and turn it in...hopefully it won't matter in the end.

about this whole thing about sports..

has anyone checked the requirements online?

it just says "evidence of physical vigor"

so theorhetically a candidate that plays like 2 hours of ddr each day fulfills the requirement.. so who are we to judge the legitimacy of someone's physical vigor (i'm actually assuming that we don't actually know everything about candidates A, S, C, and H because rumours about this sort of stuff spread soooo rapidly around enloe, but of course if you do know everything about their physical vigor than feel free to judge as much as u like)

^ someone who endures two hours of DDR every day has arguably more physical vigor than somebody who shows up once every couple weeks for a short athletic workout.

um ^ no, if you played a sport then you would probablay know its much harder than ddr, well physcially at least, its more draining.

i was saying that for their dedication to sports is a joke. they are both really only strong academically, and not otherwise. and ive actually been on a sports team with one of them, so i would know how dedicated/or not, they are to that sport.

I really love H and C and hope they get it. And I agree that a couple of canidates really don't have what I would consider "physical vigor". However, my standards ight be skewed...

^I deserve it. Although I'm pretentious with good cause.

Frankly, I prefer the term "awesome."
