yea I was terrified of driving at first. the main thing is just making sure you know what your doing then you gain the confidence to drive comfortably.

I got my permit on my 15th birthday. I didn't drive for nine months. At all. Then my older brother/constant source of rides went off for the summer, and I had a reason to want to learn to drive. It really wasn't as scary as I thought it was; changing lanes hasn't killed me, and unprotected left turns aren't the bane of my existence anymore. And my car hasn't exploded, which, with my car, is a significant possibility. I got my license on my sixteenth birthday, and was an awful driver. They really shouldn't have let me pass. But practice makes perfect (or at least better), and I'm no longer terrified of getting in the drvier's side of a car.
Good luck, friend.

I was terrified of driving, too. I still don't like it very much. But I'm getting better, I think...

So, I know how you feel. I still remember how I got my permit, and then my mom *made* me drive home. "What? But you actually expect me to drive now!?"

Yeah. I know your pain. But, just...practice does help, I think. I'm starting to get a little better. And I'm less scared of it now than I used to be.

Like the anon before me said, good luck.

thank you all.

btw, i only failed the first time bc the lady had a supervisor watching her so she was being extra-uptight. and with my car, coming to a "full and complete stop" is something of a dream. so i did the closest thing to it, and she failed me for not stopping completely at a stop sign. bs.

anyway... i'm still scared... but i'll get used to it. i hope!
