we talked about this in phil club last year.

no matter how ugly you think a person is because of some physical characteristic....someone else is not going to not mind that characteristic and find beauty somewhere else or think that characterstic on that person is beautiful.

There was a research project conducted recently on why we find things beautiful... and the conclusion seems to have been that the human eye is lazy.

Our eyes/brain find the shapes and patterns that it's used to most pleasing because it takes little work to understand... so when we see someone "ugly" it is taken in that way because our eyes/brain can't be bothered.

Not that I'm going to start seeing every ugly chick as attractive, but I found it interesting. But again, in no way should it have to change one's perception of beauty.
