So: weird post time from everybody's favorite admin.
How important does everyone find odor to be in the process of attraction? Because there have been some gi.rls I've known that have smelled so good -- not even by the socially accepted definition of such, but only to me in my craziness. And now aromas are becoming more and more tied to the gir.ls I've known and the experiences of my life. (SB -- cigarette smoke!) Anyway, I keep hallucinating smells and it reminds me of g.irls and other things in my life I connect to smells... Does anyone else find such a positive connection between attraction and odor? And does anyone else hallucinate smells?
P.S
What does salt look like to you, because I've got a definite picture of saltiness in my head and I want to see if anyone corroborates that image. (I'll take "Synaesthesia for Life" for 400).

The smell of sweat, like, freshman gym locker room kind of sweat, before some idiot would go and spray Axe and ruin it.
Well, smell is the strongest sense tied to memory...
I can't say that I go around smelling people, but I definitely notice when someone smells really good or really bad.
What does salt look like to me? Uhh....little clear cubes?
Haha. Cigarette smoke. (I'm doing Spanish, I swear)
Yes and yes. Aroma does play a role in how attracted I am to a person. Its very simple: if a guy smells nice, I am more likely to want to get with him. It has something to do with intimacy I think, because the smell comes directly off of the body. I also do "hallucinate" smells. Like, I'll be walking down the hall and catch a whiff of so-and-so and all of a sudden really miss him. And I know I'm not ACTUALLY smelling him because he's nto there, but it couldn't be anything else!
Yes, smell is definitely a factor.
The guy I'm dating now, I can still smell him hours after we've spent time together. My hair, my clothes, all smell like him, even if it was only a couple minutes.
I love it.
And I definitely hallucinate smells. Tuesday, while I was walking on the Breezeway to get to my 6th period class, the air itself smelled like him. Kinda weird.
a blind man walked past a fish market and breathed in deeply. He then turned and said "hello ladies".
I was definitely leaning against him at play rehearsal a few nights ago, and as a result my T-shirt smelled like him for a few days afterward. ...and no I did not sleep in said T-shirt for this reason. Not at all.
And synesthesia is cool. I wish I had it.
Synaesthesia is a bit distracting sometimes... when I listen to really fabulous music, I of course get the emotional response... but then there's the colors and shapes. It really makes everything richer... but I have to be careful not to pay too much attention to music when I'm driving. I have no control over if I see the colors or not when I focus. It doesn't work with driving. At all. Ever.
yeah i don't really have it in that manner but seeing all sorts of things related to taste and smell and speech; feeling sounds in my mouth -- it can all get kind of ridiculous at times. but i won't lie, i love synaesthesia so much.
oh by the way salt tastes/looks like little yellow triangles with bubbles inside of them.
