Those are lyrics to a song by Rufus Wainwright, although it's been sung by several others.

I actually don't know who did it first, but the OP isn't it.

Of course, it doesn't really bother me. Sometimes, other people's songs are just able to say what you yourself are not. And that's OK.

Scratch that. I think Nat King Cole did it first. But everything else stands.

Balls to ya'll. Ella Fitzgerald did it first and best. Although, Rufus Wainwright does do some dang good covers sometimes. Check out Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" by him. Cohen's probably one of the best lyricists ever, but man did his voice suck.
