I was being facetious. Way to pick up on my internet sarcasm.

question: do you know what the clitoris is?
answer:it's what girls use to masturbate

I think whoever said "what about girls?" was asking how OFTEN we do it. And my answer to that (at least for me, and most of the masturbating girls thats I know) is maybe 2-3 times a week. It is harder though, and it takes a while to master - I've been doing it for over a year and my self-induced orgasms still aren't half as good as they are from real sex.

why is it so addicting and why does it feel so wrong?

It's addicting just like anything else that's enjoyable - music, tv, this site, AIM, drugs, food, people. I'm sorry it feels wrong, but I suppose it does because some parts of society want us to beleive that anything pleasurable is sin.

Wow. Deep. i'd pretty much just say that it seems dirty because of all the mystery surrounding sex from birth.

Actually... the stigma of masturbation runs quite deep, historically speaking. In relation to earlier religious societies, masturbation was considered a terrible sin; however, these same societies grouped the reading of evocative literature with self-pleasure. The reasoning behind this (lack of?) being that they both stimulated heightened sensual experiences, all of these in fact believed contrary to the "discipline" required to bring oneself closer to the holy.

Of course, that is a load of hogwash, sex being perfectly morally healthy practice, along with the reading of fine literature.
