I'm tired of people doing something, feeling guilty about it, then bitching about how guilty they feel.

Honestly. You did it, it's over, you can't change it now. And if you knew you were going to feel so bad about it, why the hell even do it in the first place?

Well, you're obviously not Catholic.

...lucky.

It's funny how Catholics assume you can do whatever the hell you want as long as you feel bad enough about it later. Here's a tip: It doesn't matter in the least if you're sorry. Why would God give a damn? The deed is done.

Pretty much, repenting for your sins is shit, especially if you assume later that you're back to square one and can do the same sin cycle all over again.

Not that I hate on Catholics or anything...

Oh my god, is that what you think Catholics believe?

I mean granted that's how some catholics take it, but the whole idea is that if you commit a sin and then you feel better about it and try your best not to commit that sin again, god will still accept you into his arms.

It's about striving to be a better person and finding acceptance in the fact that everyone makes mistakes but that you can learn from them. It's also a way for the priest to offer help or a shoulder to lean on.
