A week before I was supposed to go to college my college sent me a letter saying my acceptance was void because of a lower grade at the end of the year than I started with. In a hard class. With no time left to transfer or apply to another school, even community college.

Fuckers.

I've had to go live with my sister. My mother wouldn't stop crying and I haven't spoken to my father since before the letter came.

I'm going to burn it to the ground.

It's never too late to apply to community college.

I'm so so so sorry... that's horrible.

Wow. That's awful... I hope that you find a way to get to some college, even if it isn't the one that sent you that terrible letter on such short notice.

I feel so sorry for you, op, that really sucks. What I would say is, if you can't find a college with such short notice, just take a year off. You can do so many things- travel around, if money isn't an issue. Pursue something you really want to do that college hinders you from. If money is an issue, maybe you can join the peace corps for a year, or even the army if you feel up to it. If you're religious enough, do something with your church. Or you can even do some research- apparently in Costa Rica, if you help out with the butterfly garden in Monteverde, they'll pay for your flight, room, and board. If all else fails, you can always get a job. You might not get paid all that much, but your high school degree should get you a decent salary. If you just take some time to actually search for things you can do and keep an open mind, I guarantee you'll find something. Whatever you end up doing, even if it was just working at McDonalds- you will have gained valuable experience which colleges will definitely take note of that, and that will help you get in next year.
I hope it works out.

you can always start college during the 2nd semester; look around and see what your options are.

taking a year off is typically harmful to your ability to get accepted, especially if you have nothing to show for it, so get into /something/, be it community college, or a 2nd-semester deferred-entry enrollment program.

You don't have to give up! Appeal their decision! Go in and explain yourself and what happened. You might just be able to get them to reverse their it!

OP here, I did go back and appeal it, and was denied.
