college sucks already. I haven't made new friends just left all my old ones behind.

I'm sorry to hear that, but how long have you actually been at college? Sometimes it takes a little while before you can really get settled in and start meeting new people.
This is why God invented facebook!!!
I've met plenty of new friends in college, but I still miss high school-- I knew how high school worked. I'm scared of college, of open class schedules and quads and student unions and having to balance a social life with an academic one.
I am beginning to understand what the OP is talking about, though.
However, I remain confident.
I think I'm just not good at meeting people by walking up to them and hello-what's your name-where are you from-what's your major-ing them.
Once I'm actually doing something, though, I'll get much better.
