Sometimes I wish I was another race... anything but white. I think darker skin is just gorgeous, but besides that it seems like
American culture is not as rich or interesting as other countries.

It annoys me when everywhere I look there is this "white people have no culture" stand. If you're European or something, then yeah you have a culture. But if you're mixed by a few generations or "just white" you have no culture and "everything is going for you, so why the hell are you complaining"
Maybe it's an unfounded annoyance, but just because I'm white and male doesn't mean I'm racist or sexist or enjoy any part of that. It also doesn't mean on cultural days that I should be excluded.

i'm inspired by the other race comment.
i sometimes wish i was white. i mean it would be so much easier if i walked down the street not worried that someone might say something about my skin tone.
i know it's the 21th century, but racism still exsists, and i hate how my skin tone/race makes it so easy.
being white seems so much easier.

I feel the same way as the poster, I think. It's why I cling so hard to any of the heritage that I do have.
its not as easy to be white as people say, nonwhites actually get paid more to do the same job now because companies want to promote diversity, we don't get consideration for black scholarships, there are lots of benefits to being another race. still though you should take pride in your heritage whatever it is
To the OP:
You only think that American culture "isn't as rich or interesting" because you've been immersed in it all your life and it all seems really ordinary to you. If you were a foreigner, and travelled to America for the first time or had an American friend or whatever, then you'd see things differently.
To anon 1:
You don't have to be excluded on cultural days. At my school we have an American section. You should be able to do that if you want.
