"How womanly it is for one who is a man to comb himself and shave himself with a razor, for the sake of fine effect, and to arrange his hair at the mirror, shave his cheeks, pluck hairs out of them, and smooth them!…Women should be smooth and rejoice in their locks alone growing spontaneously, as a horse in his mane. But man is like the lions, with a beard, and endowed with an attribute of manhood, with a hairy chest--a sign of strength and rule.

This, then, is the mark of the man, the beard. By this, he is seen to be a man. It is the token of the superior nature….It is therefore unholy to desecrate the symbol of manhood, hairiness.”

--St. Clement of Alexandria, c. 195 CE

Un- manly as shaving and combing one's hair may be, I think I speak for much of the female gender, myself included, when I say that personal hygeine in those of the male gender is certainly preferable to lack thereof. Although this may not be relevant to St. Clement's standard of manliness, it is certainly relevant today, because today women have the election to choose to whom they cleave themselves, and thus men who wish to propagate the species and pass on their genes must to some degree adhere to the standards of the female gender.

Tinted, I thought you were the author of this particular article at first.

On another note, if only there were more widespread acceptance of hair in men, i.e. boys, of our generation. However, since most girls are lesbians at heart they prefer clean-shaven faces and bare bodies. If boys could grow breasts as well, girls would support that move.

It's so true. I hate hairy boys, especially out of a sexual context (for example, P at cross country practice). The guy I am "involved" with now has long girly hair and I make him shave. And yeah I love girls, and 9 times out of 10 I would rather hook up with them.

ps.
all boys should shave their armpits, pit hair makes me want to puke.

amen.
My friend p (different than queen s's p) has a lumberjack-esque beard that grosses me out. My friend K is also growing his hair out to his shoulders and it looks girly and disgusting. Short hair FTW.

My boyfriend has a beard. I adore it.
Anomaly much?

He does not shave his armpits, legs, or anything else.
Except the moustache.

Because moustaches are always wrong.

so wait do guys actually shave their chest? I imagine it would be incredibly itchy.

I shave my face and neck.

Anything else would be overlydemanding and superfluous.

Not especially, but I'm not gonna be like "OH EWW PUT YOUR CLOTHES BACK ON YOUR BODY HAIR IS GROSS"
I mean that would be just be counterproductive.
