I hate it when I read books where the main character is female and evey eligible male falls in love with her. I know it's jealousy because nothing like that would ever happen to me.

don't think it won't happen to just YOU, darlin'. that kind of shit doesn't happen to ANYONE. it fiction... take it as such. chin up.
Yeah, unrealistic fiction at that. Besides, why would you want every eligible male to flock to you? Some of the males are eligible because all the other females passed them over for a myriad of reasons including, but not limited to:
-body odor
-makes bad puns
-is a serial killer
-lives with his mom and is 33
-votes Republican
So, the trick is to sift through these eligible males, using your Man Plan, to find the right one and, using subtle, mind-controlling, karma-incinerating techniques, ensnare him in your web of matrimony forever.
Mua ha ha.
I'd be looking at it from a more feminist point of view. It's just that authors only bother to mention male characters that fall in love with the heroine, ignoring the thousands of other men in her life not mentioned in the novel because obviously a woman doesn't care about a man unless he's on the road to her pants.
maybe if u get a book written about you it'll happen to you
I hate it when a book's main male character always has the most gorgeous women fall in love with him, and want to bear his children, because I sit there wishing it was me.
