If I took beta-blockers I'd never freak out at an audition again.
I'd never hate myself for playing less than my best because of nerves.
God, and they're legal with prescription.
Isn't the New York Phil all hooked?
I could just ask her and she'd probably let me.
She apparently takes them.
But Mua'dib chose to blind himself rather than be fitted with robotics.

Thats the easy way out.
Who is she?
Also, there are a lot of freakin' problems with this post. We need to talk.
I agree with TintedFragipan-- your nerves can't be so bad that you'd consider using the Flute World's version of steroids, can they?
Don't do it.
You're a better performer if you can do it without medicines and drugs.
Trust me.
Imagine how long it will take before you have to pee in a cup before your recitals to check for preformance enhancing drugs?
I'm kind of stumped about this. Does someone else who's just as dedicated as you have the right to be a more famous floutist just because the chemicals in their brain flow a little differently? But then if the things happening in your brain aren't what makes you -You- then what is? Aren't you fundamentally changing who you are by popping pills?
These are all good questions to ask before making a descision.
Caffine is certainly a preformance enhancing drug on test day and there's nothing immoral about that. Just try it once and see how it goes.
