Ash wednesday is my favorite christian celebration.
The thought that I will die, no matter what, is comforting to me. It takes away the fear of dying for me, because it's going to happen, it's just a matter of how.

Interesting. They say that once one embraces death, they embrace life that much more.

It's funny how we have to be reminded of our mortality, like every other day we're under the assumption that we'll live forever until a holiday or event reminds us otherwise. I can't decide whether death or old people losing their bowel control is God's sickest joke.

It's a comfort to me.
The embarrassments and screw-ups of this life are merely fleeting and temporary things.
The joy of eternity is eternal.

"The joy of eternity is eternal."

*the perfect mix of mirth, superiority, and jealousy*

I'd say the loss of bowel control rates pretty high up there, but the world's suffering is infinitely sicker and apparently more humorous to the great almighty.
