I like her, but my life is school (like all other 'loe juniors), so our friendship must suffice.

ah yes, the plight of enloe juniors.
would we rather focus on school and be successful there, or having a life and being happy now?
There is such thing as a balance, you know.
Allow her to be in your life.
This guy picked school over me, it hurt and it stills does.
Don't hurt yourself or possibly her for that matter.
But how do you balance in a girlfriend? I have homework, clubs, sports, church, etc. and there is no free time in my schedule. I rarely see my friends as it is.
no harm trying.
go for it.
atleast tell her how you feel(if in fact she has feelings for you) so that she doesnt feel like it's one-sided.
You'd be amazed at how much time you really have. Before school, lunch, afterschool...a few minutes a day, calling a few times a week and a date on most weekends really is enough to keep a relationship going.
I second that.
haha yeahhh yo urealize all of these posts are likely from girls hoping the original poster was the guy they like and that he'll decide to ask them out...frankly i am one of those girls, haha!
yeah, really, the original poster should just ask out the girl he's talking about. otherwise the rest of us are going to go crazy. seriously, we will.
So really, no pressure.
:D
Dudue, I am totally in your position and I know how you feel.
Honestly, dating in High School is pretty much pointless and to sacrifice what we have all worked so hard to achieve... over a girl and a relationship that won't last is... foolish. Not to mention the anxiety and drama that comes after the breakup and it becomes all for not.
The perk is that being a relationship can me fun. Weight the pros and cons.
correction: can be fun...
Not can me fun.
Engaging in a meaningful relationship with another person is never pointless. If it's a mature relationship then you shouldn't have to worry about the drama. Stop watching laguana beach! ;-)
The point is: you can have a meaningful relationship without necking someone. The purpose of dating, or courting as it used to be called, was to get married. I doubt anyone in High School is ready to get married. Especially if they arent sure about dating in the first place.
the best ideai think would be to go and say youre my ho now.
Balancing acts, crazy girls, apathy, and ho's... Wow, lots of response from such a simple little angst :-)
so what are you going to do about it, original poster?
okay i dont even give a flip who you are dear. just tell us what you're going to do about her.
this is stupid guys. dating in high school is to get your ready and prepared to date in college. remember your first date and how nervous you were? now pretend you were that nervous but you were 19. yeah. thats why we date in high school. so you feel comfortable then. if you find the right girl/guy on the way then youre a very lucky person.
BUT WHAT DID YOU DO!!
Yeah, high school trains for college in a way.
There doesn't have to be a melodramatic breakup, I've never had one.
There should be something intimate going on, otherwise what's the difference between you and really good friends besides the fact that they're keeping you from being able to hook up with other people?
Oh yeah, and unless you really like her and are sure you want a relationship, it probably isn't worth the trouble of the social maneuvering, unless you just go right out and ask her. Then again, get her to ask you, girls need to learn how to do that these days :p.
