Has anyone ever though about the fact that kissing is kind of wierd?

I mean, hand jobs, oral, sex, they all involve the sexual organs and that makes sense why it would be fun, but is kissing simply society's portrayal of it that links it so closely with sex that it's a turn on?

'Cause I mean seriously, think about exactly what's going on, it's kind of gross really.

And think about eskimos who rub noses to "kiss" is that the same thing all because of society?

I figured I'd put a sort of sex related topic on this site that's not really an angsty thing..hmm..maybe it's not going with the whole theme.

Alright, so a little clarifier here. Apparently rubbing noses doesn't replace kissing perse. In some societies it's pretty much just a show of affection between bf/gf, but in others it can be between mom and child or family members or what have you.

You silly...

Kissing if part of the biological process that stimulates the body for sex. The libs have nerve fibers that link up directly to the part of the brain invovled in 'love making'. This then stimulates your glands to produce hormones that include releasing an aphrodisiac from the armpits (sweating basically). This stimulus also makes the penis erect ect. So... its not exactly pointless but it isnt the same as rubbing noses.

I can't believe I just wrote all of that...

then again, rubbing noses brings your nose in close contact with the scent glands on the other persons face, and even though human noses can't detece pheremones nearly as well as other animals, I guess this could have somethign to do with it.
