I would try to say something like "No, you're beautiful!" but all I know about you is what you tell me, and you tell me you're ugly. I understand that your lament isn't just about vanity; pretty people are more likely to be percieved as interesting people and more likely to be hired for jobs, not to mention more likely to be sought out as romantic partners. It's just about the shittiest thing ever to be done in by your genes with a plain face-- not your fault, but still makes your life hard. I'm really sorry, man. Just try to remember that ugly people can be awesome, too, like Eleanor Roosevelt and Stephen Hawking. Don't let it bring you down too much.
Confidence is more attractive than good looks.
