Sex predator laws and terminology are highly dilapidated. Sexual predators in the most malicious sense of the currently-general terminology are very real -- this (mis)use of statistics is just another sign of a desensitized public and an overzealous media-driven society.

^ clearly, that's just dumb. what anon1 is saying, which is true, is that the term 'sex predator' has grown to mean even cybersex or sexual conversations between consenting people.

video chatting or meeting strangers in person is stupid and dangerous. having sexually-loaded text chats online is stupid but harmless.
