All of this talk of colleges is really starting to scare me.

I'm a junior with mostly As, and decent extracurricular activities. But all of these people who didn't get into UNC-Ch, or even State, or Appalachian... it's making me worry a lot.

I always figured that I had at least a decent shot at UNC, and that State shouldn't be a problem. Now I'm beginning to wonder, and I just hope that my original assumptions were right.

Don't worry. Calm down. You'll do fine.

Enloe cultivates the panic gene in everyone.

This was me last year except you have better grades than I did. Please take my advice and don't worry about that stuff yet, it's not worth it. You'll be fine. I got into my first choice school and everywhere else I applied.

There's always ECU and western if you're REALLY worried.

If have you mostly A's (and I'm assuming the other grades are B's with maybe only one or two C's in there?) then State shouldn't be a problem for you.

Also take into account that this year is the peak of the baby-boomer's children. That is, this year is the year with the most applicants and therefore the most competition. Ours was bad but this year was supposed to be worst (that's what they estimated last year anyways, I don't have the stats on it or anything).

But I mean, there's nothing you can really do now but keep your grades up, keep going to those organizations, and enjoy high school.

Oh, you do the average SAT scores of the schools right?

Probably, but I just took it for the first time a few days ago.

Anyhow, thanks for all of the reassurances and people telling me, "don't worry." I was just surprised to hear about so many people being rejected and deferred from schools that I thought they could get into.
