Do colleges accept people who have Cs on their transcripts?

And by colleges, I mean nationally ranked top 30 colleges...

Depends on the school, the class you got a C in, etc.

That said, I know people at Carolina that have gotten Cs.

I know people who got into Columbia with C's, and one of the people in the running for the Duke scholarship I got had a couple of C's.

I think they look at a lot more. There's not a lot of quantitative stuff.

And if you don't get in, don't worry. You can still be president with a C average in school.

I had a C in Calc AB, and 2 Cs in a foreign language (levels III and AP lang- V) and got into UNC

They definitely look at a lot more- like SAT, extracurriculars, what classes you got Cs in etc. so don't worry about it too much.

I read this article about a girl who got straight A's, perfect SAT scores, had an amazing personality, and did testing at NASA on weightlessness in mice and developed technology that is actually used in space, and was rejected from Harvard.

You never know.

That's because getting into Harvard has nothing to do with how smart you are.
