I can never get my self to cry at funerals, or feel any sort of a emotion.

is there something wrong with me?

unless I am activly concentrating on forcing myself to cry - and even then it is only an urge - I don't feel anything either

Crying is stupid.

why would you force yourself to cry? Do what you feel. Why would you try to make an act? Just remember that person and who they were and that's all that matters. Stop worrying about yourself image at a funeral...its not all about you.

no, it's not unusual... sometimes stuff is just so overwhelming, it almost numbs me or something... i dunno. But, I'll cry on the spur of the moment. If I know something is going to be sad or moving in advance (you knew you were going to a funeral before you went), I can't cry even when I want to. But, when I'mn not expecting something to be emotionally intense, then I cry.

anon3. it is just feeling guilty for NOT crying. like maybe it is being disrespectful or something. no SHIT it isn't all about me, don't be such an ass.

well then I just misunderstood your post. i wasn't trying to be an ass...you just sounded like an ass. dont feel guilty for not crying. and its not disrespectful. if people dont understand that different people express their emotions in different ways then there's something wrong with them. dont worry :)

Your grammar is what's wrong with you.

my self
a emotion

I can somewhat understand - I often worry that I'm not feeling enough, too.

I only cry at awkward and inappropriate times. Like watching a movie on an airplane. Or going for a college interview.
