Plus as a male in a very committed relationship in which I would never cheat I kiss girls all the time. It doesn't necessarily have to be anything more than a greeting/departing kiss unless the dude's giving out tongue.
Kisses without tongue can be just as sensual and meaningful, sometimes more, than tongue kisses. If it really was just a greeting kiss, it would have been on the cheek. If you're in a relationship, your lips shouldn't be touching anybody's but your partner's. Tell your friend.

That's bullshit anon3. As evidence I cite the kiss that took place between Birdman and Lil Wayne. A kiss can mean a lot of different things, and the difference between a romantic kiss and any other kind is easy to see if you're in a committed relationship.
