I heard about Freshman Seminar today. It will be mandatory for freshman next year. Isn't that exciting? As a freshie, I wish I could have learned more about Enloe this year.

ligon way wasted my life, I hate to see them doing it to the freshmen.

we have to do that here in colorado, they started it this year. freshmen have to go to seminar for an hour each week until spring break, and then they get that hour off for the rest of high school!
I learned more about Enloe as a freshman by hanging out with the potheads, sneaking around afterschool, and memorizing the positions of the security cameras than I could've with any seminar thing.
They say all that stuff prepares you for freshman year. The only thing that prepared me for freshman year was... the first week of freshman year.
seriously... learn it through experience, what exactly is any teacher going to tell you that you can't figure out within the first week on your own? what a waste of a class... plus i'm sure they won't do it... too many overachievers would freak out because they'd be missing out on an honors or AP class
They already require the two languages (well for us university prep kids) as well as a host of other things, even if they do provide some flexibility.
Then there's health, but health was a very worthwhile class. I think if they changed the sex-ed policy to an informative and not an abstinence policy and they taught that 2 days a week and then made you run monday/wendesday/friday that would be one of the most worthwhile classes ever.
The only thing that prepared me for freshman year at Enloe was 3rd Quarter of sophomore year. By then it was too late.
Freshman Seminar is happening. It's real.
