Duke and UNC are playing on Wednesday, and I'm pumped! Who else is?! I mean, everyone knows Duke is gonna win, but still! This is what I've been waiting for since last March!

Carolina- 2005 National Champions
I hate basketball. With a passion.
I used to put on that "ugh, sports are dumb. I'm waaaay too cool for sports..." facade way back when. Then you actually see a game start-to-finish with people who sincerely care who wins or loses (the jumping up and down and screaming kind of caring) and you realize what you've been missing.
Carolina - 2005 National Champions
And I can count the number of players that returned from that game on I believe 2 fingers.
And I can count the number of those said players who mattered on none!
Look at Carolina's starting lineup this year. We have two former walkons, that paid their way to North Carolina, and fulfilled their childhood dream to play on a UNC basketball team. We start two freshman this year. The heart that this team plays with is tremendous. This year's team was expected to finish in the cellar of the ACC, and is currently ranked in the top 25. Even a dook fan cannot discredit the achievement that this team has shown. To say that these players don't matter is pure bullcrap, and is a discredit to the hard work they have put in to reach this high level of achievement. We have the no. 1 recruiting class coming in next year, and we will be beyond sick. But what I enjoy about this year's team, is the extreme heart and purity with which they play the game of basketball, without the prima donna attitude that most basketball fans have come to expect.
Anonymous 5 is kidding himself.
nice justification thewordofrashi? dook rationale at its finest...
they play tuesday...
and i'm a dukie, but people like you that are just like "yeah, duke's gonna cream unc" are ppl that give dukies the arrogant stigma, both teams are really good and talented, and UNC has the home court advantage, and duke has had a fairly tough schedule up till now and have played a series of very intense and close games
You want me to justify myself? How about losing to Virginia at home? Or losing to USC?
I'm not saying that Duke is gonna win by 30 or 40 points, but everyone here knows who the better team is. This isn't the 05 season, where Carolina was truly the superior team.
I'm not talking about Carolina being the better team, I'm addressing your previous comment about nobody on this particular Carolina team mattering. Carolina is obviously the younger and less talented team in this matchup, dook is clearly talented and may be the best team in the country. This is dook's year, and as much as I don't want them to win the National Championship, I would put the odds at about even that they will win the national championship. I was just talking about the qualities that Carolina has shown this year, I'm not sure I can find the place in my post where I said Carolina was gonna win. Whatev, Don't let the facts get in the way of your opinion.
Carolina played at Virginia
my mistake. they lost to miami at home. and then they lost to Virginia on the road.
