Ah.. to go to prom, or get (re-get) a quick 30 bucks.

That's sort of a shallow argument. "How many chances will you have to jump off a bridge? Problem solved." Er... Anyhow, I see what you're saying... but the question is whether or not prom is worth 30 bucks + prom expenses to the OP.
Money is absolutely no object. You're going to make hundreds of thousands of dollars in your life and spend them on all kinds of worthless things before you die. You only get one (two at most) chances to be this age and have a crazy good time at prom. Think how many thousands of dollars a 60 year old would be willing to spend to be able to be 17 again and go to prom for just one night. You can never put a price tag on that.

looking back, I went to both my proms. Even though the second one I was single, I wouldn't have given it up for the world
PROM is gonna be bangin!! what an awesome theme. but yea its worth 30 bucks.
