My one excess
is playing my music at the threshold of pain.

I was going to try out for American Idol at Crabtree on Saturday, and I thought you could use instruments like last time, but then I found out it's a capella so I changed my mind. :(

Jazzical Verdict: Pretty good! Entertaining, at least.

Also, it's the sign of true friends when they don't comment on how bad your pesto breath smells, even as you whisper comments about the strings director's sparkly shirt into their noses. :)
Thanks Swales and Sithgirl

So, Jazzical rehearsal today went...bad? great? mediocre?
(I couldn't really tell)
what did everyone else think?

I just bought the new Brand New album "The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me"

And studies show that I have just self-actualized

Maslow would kill for this album

I realized today when I was painting and listening to a Tracy Chapman tape that I've had it since second grade...and I still like it.
What's the oldest cd/tape you own that you still listen to regularly?

Note: NOT a scheming plot to get on popular post list..I'm genuinely curious.

I'm so skittish that I can't listen to Night On Bald Mountain in a dim room late at night without getting scared.
It's a piece of orchestral music and I'm an idiot.
(Mussorgsky isn't, though. Love. Love.)
