how do you decide if it is time to break up with someone? Its not love but perhaps its better than being alone... but then maybe there is something better waiting for me...

I knew it was time to break up when he was away on a trip for an extended period of time, and he came home and told me how much he missed me, and I realized that I couldn't honestly say I missed him. It's not that I didn't still care for him; it's just that the love, the commitment, the connection that should be there... just wasn't.
