Every life is either a mistake or a descision. You were either concieved accidentaly or with forthought to serve a specific purpose.

Neither sounds very miraculous to me.

Don't be such a philistine, things aren't black and white. 'Nuff said.

Well, I agree you were either accidental or planned for, but there are many differet instances of accident as well as different levels of planning, and I disagree with the fact that it was to serve a "specific" purpose. I'd say most babies were conceived to serve a very broad purpose if a purpose at all.

That said, what makes it not miraculous? I mean little microscopic worm thing + little microscopic egg thing = a PERSON. That's pretty much the coolest magic trick ever.

Yeah, birth/gestation is definitely one of those things that you think about every once in awhile and go "Hot Damn! That's really amazing!" Or, at least, it's like that for me.

Yeah, me too.
"Whoa - PEOPLE happen from little stuff!"
It happens more often than you would think.

My mom's admitted that she got pregnant again with me mainly to try and keep her mairrage together.

I didn't work but here I am...go figure.

I guess you failed at your "purpose."

Hmm...OP is sounding a little cynical....

Generally children do not help keep rocky marriages together (unless you both have undying devotion to work with each other to raise the child...which is a very hard thing to find in a rocky marriage.)

i was an accident. i was the reason my parents ended up getting married, too. they're really happy now, so i suppose i served an unintended purpose as well. it's cool to think of it like that.

My parents wanted two kids - one boy and one girl.
They had a boy.
They had a miscarriage.
They had a boy.

They had their two kids.
And then they had an accident.

Well, at least they got the girl that they always *sort of* wanted.

It's just so amazing how two people can make another human being like that.
