No matter how special you might seem, no matter how unique you think you are, whatever thing you are most proud of in yourself there are hundereds of thousands of people who can do it better. Not only are they better at it, they don't even give a damn and are going to become a famous neurosurgeon instead. Did I mention they're also rich and much more attractive. Did I mention you suck?

So what if people are better than me? People will always be better than me, there's no point in getting worked up about it. It's stupid not to appreciate your own talents and skills just because someone else can do it better. Seriously, you will never get anywhere with that attitude.

Everything is contextual, so I would advise following a judgement of each situation individually. But hey, maybe that takes too much work.

Depends on what you mean by "wins", but in my experience fatal diseases and other forms of terminal misfortune didn't have much to do with virtue the last time I checked.

Nope. With all the billions of people in the world there is at least one who excells at every single aspect of your life. Sure you might be better at...living in Raleigh or something stupid, but where it counts you can't help but be statistically pretty damn unspectacular.

Sure there is one guy out there who's the "best" as say, spelling, but I would bet any amount of money that it isn't you. In fact I would extend that wager (based on probability alone) that no one I've ever met is the best in the world at anything worth mentioning.

Chill out Barry, I don't think Graffiti was criticizing your mantras, just saying that they ought to be applied to specific situations as they comes. Also, he's not criticizing catholicism either - just saying that one of them is really catholic - and it is! There's nothing wrong with that. But hey, maybe if you needlessly attack people with "clever" insults
