Well, it could be all of those things the other anons say, but it also could be this: It is often easier to spill to a person that you don't know very well because their judgement of you, at the emotional level, is not important enough yet.
If you tell very deep introspective things to someone, it will be somebody that you don't worry about their judgement of you, whether it is the indifference of a stranger, or the comfort of a friend.
It probably means they're a fairly kind person.
It's easier to spill to someone you don't know, especially if they're a nice person.
I do that all the time.
