i think you want to argue with someone about this. I have no idea if its true though so i wont be one to argue.
anonymous #1's response reminds me of why i bother.
i don't want to argue. i just want to say it.
i'm sure you can find out how true it is, if you're interested.
op I feel exactly the same way.
and I dont even know what that way is.
I hate to say this, but since when have the Muslims had any qualms about killing other Muslims? We're seeing it daily now in Iraq...
Unless there was some other point the OP was trying to make.
6,000 americans died in the twin towers, regardless of race or creed.
6000 people died.
6,000...things happened
I think the OP was thinking about sept11 and that while the terrorists said they wanted to kill americans...in the meantime they were killing their own people...300 muslims as well.
so while they were trying to figure out why it was done...they realized it was all in cold blood and terrorists are retarded, hypocrites and dont make any sense.
Then again we trained them, funded them, and gave them weapons...and then we abandoned them once we didn't need them anymore.
So I think they make plenty of sense and are quite extremely intelligent.
In addition to that, they've got balls. How much courage does it take to attack the most powerful country in the world? alot is the answer.
We can learn a lot from these terrorists.
aww Rashi, I understood you completely the first time, but I feel you overreacted just a tad.
If you didn't use such broad language such as "no fundamentalists care about human life" as there are many non-violent fundamentalists and I'm sure many of the people committing acts such as 9/11 feel well within their rights to destroy the infidels and continue with God's plan yet value life up to the extent that it doesn't interfere with said plan then perhaps I'd be more inclined to agree with you.
Perhaps I'm giving them too much of the benefit of the doubt, but I have to believe in the goodness of people don't I?
yea you sympathize with them way too much pchis.
regardless of how they got to be the way they are....they wouldn't hesitate to kill everyone in your life that you love.
and you say we have a lot to learn from the terrorists?? what might that be???

Everything that we need to learn to stop them, for starters. Terrorists know how they operate. We don't.
word to the anon above. Rashi, you really can't make generalizations like that, especially since you aren't muslim.
"Everything that we need to learn to stop them, for starters."
Just remember that they're saying the exact same thing about us. And the second we start murdering them, detaining them without trial, and torturing them for information in defiance of international law we're automatically no better than terroroists.
For all the great fictional heroes, the only difference between him and the bad guy was that even though he was willing to fight for his cause he did it with kindness and scruples. If all the "terrorist fighters" give up that moral high ground (which I believe they already have) then we're just another bad guy, fighting to the death.
woa this is way too much angst..
rashi, I hear you man, I hear you.
sometimes just both sides should accept their mistakes and move on.
