I think that people who write crappy formulaic fantasy novels in their spare time should be shot.

Post anything that you want - a story, a secret, a confession, a fear, a love - anything. Post twice if you'd like. And then share the site with your friends.

Which author did you have in mind? I can think of a few.
They have fun doing it, they make money, and entertain readers who enjoy their stories. Above all, they don't force you to read them, so why don't you stop bitching?
except they aren't really hurting anyone, and they are doing something, they're providing entertainment for those who are entertained by their works whether or not us snobs like it or not.
I don't think that was a very well put together sentence, but there you have it.
That doesn't mean that we don't want to shoot them.
Yeah... I know all the market economy stuff, but really, some of those people should just not be writing. They discredit the rest of us.
